CE: Accordion Potatoes

Hello hello!

Back again with another image that I'm currently editing.
Haven't done anything to the image really so far except for cropping and adding text.

Don't think I plan on doing much more other than some spot removal on the background and playing around with the type. I'm not a fan of all the negative space in the bottom left corner, i'll probably add the recipe there or something. Once I finish I'll be sure to post the final image here and on my website.

Drink It Up

Jesus I'm really bad with this blogging thing aren't I?
I always think I posted something but that was just me pre planning a post then forgetting about it T_T

Can I change? Maybe. Will I? I'll try :)
Friday's are my days off so I'm planning on posting every Friday, and believe me I have a ridiculous amount of unedited photos that need to get done and uploaded!  So that will last awhile along with all the new stuff I'm shooting.

To make up for the lack of post I give you two drink shots I've done recently. Haven't really shot/styled drinks in a while so this has been a learning curve. Expect me to push a few more within the next month.

I love adding text, it looks more complete to me.

Hello Hello!

As usual it's been a while, been very busy for some reason at this time of the year a lot of work ends up coming my way at once so today will be a quick post.

I'm making waffles!

Had the day off today and woke up early because of the sunlight again. So I  decided to pull out the waffle marker I  just bought and have a quick shoot. Btw you know you have a strange sleeping patterns when your co-worker calls you at 10:00 a.m. and is very shocked to find out your actually awake at a decent hour of the day.......T_T Just to be clear I don't work night shifts I work 8:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m. 3 days a week. If you give me a day I will sleep the day away if I have nothing to do ^_^

Anyways still editing these photos and cleaning up, had a giant spill of maple syrup at the end of the shoot.....

Then I started stabbing blackberries for fun :)

Okay maybe God didn't take this photo but he was my assistant ^_^
I'm not religious at all (let's be honestly I haven't been to church since I was 6, I'm now 21.....)I'm just messing with you guys, the reason why I said God was my "assistant" was because I needed some fill and both my reflectors are at friends houses, no foam core/corrugated plastic, and no aluminum foil....what the hell;however, thats when God came into my life and I remembered that there was a God Bless Our Home mirror hanging in my mums room and here we are. ^_^

Anyways crappy story over, this is one of the shots I took just now unedited. Once I combine my exposures and such I'll post the finish product. BTW  this was a spur of the moment shoot, was told not to go to work today since there was a power outage (why does this happen every year? :s) So I slept till 1:00 p.m., don't judge me, until the sun started glaring through the window and woke me up.

Not 100% what to call this dessert, let's just call it no bake cheesecake. All I had that was quick to prepare was cream cheese, chocolate, graham crackers, pecans, and sheered coconuts. THESE WERE THE INGREDIENTS CHOSEN TO MAKE THE PERFECT LITTLE DESSERT, BUT PROFESSOR KIDDY ACCIDENTALLY ADDED AAN EXTRA INGREDIENT TO THE CONCOCTION.....CHEMICAL X! THUS THE "NO BAKE CHEESECAKE" WAS BORN!!!........sorry but the Powerpuff Girls them popped into my head so I had to type that out *shame*

Anyways, there's a fashion shoot coming up Sunday bellow is a test of us working on hair and make up.

Experimenting

A few things today: 

1. Shot Chocolate Macarons

2.Started playing around with text

3.Got my delivery of Vanilla Beans from France finally...(long story short cheaper on ebay then any store in Toronto, but there was a postal strike)

4.Got my new business card sample pack from MOO printer profiles a bit off need to adjust colour and change images

5.A few DIY  projects are going to start happening soon some of which are a camera slider and a soft box for my SB-900. Will be pretty easy once I round up supplies.
6.Started up a Vimeo (sp?) account the ex film student in me is starting to emerge *Kid Pix Voice* "OH NOOO!".....and yeah I think thats all for now -__-

Too warm in my place filling started to get soft :( 

Still taste good though :)

Macaron recipes pretty much all follow the same recipe give or take various flavours and colour this is the one I used this time but I aged my egg whites for around 3 or 4 days and used a different filling recipe the ends up pretty much the same. Also yeah there will be spelling, grammer and all sorts of errors in that recipe didn't really prof read....me no like english ^_^

Vanilla Beans smell so good! 

The tapes just there to hide my address because that's just dangerous lol

Currently editing: Raspberry Souffle

Well hello again wink wink nudge nudge.......
I've been told several times this week that I'm weird and to that I say weird or totally awesome!?.....
Seriously though yesterday I made a Raspberry Souffle whoot whoot! Way to hot to be in my kitchen though had a headache for like 5 hours pretty sure thats not normal...so the plan for this week was to do a shoot a day this week being themed desserts but today my brother took over my studio a.k.a my living room and refused to move because god forbid he couldn't go a day without playing Call of Duty on the big screen, dude shouldn't you be in summer school by the way? lol and I also got a call to go to North Campus tomorrow as well so not a lot of time to shot and make everything is there? It also doesn't help that some of the things I was planning to make was a: Raspberry Silk Cake, French Macarons, Ferrero Rocher Tarts and others....can't I ever just make cookies or something? ^_^

Restless NIght

Tonight's just one of those restless nights of tossing and turning, I always find it hard sleeping during the summer also feel as if I should be doing something. I did end up doing something to tire me out, I started editing a image from the day before which you can check out bellow along with some behind the scene snaps of the "set". To cure my restlessness I was also researching for a weekend get away with friends coming up in August to New York, but then I got side tracked and starting looking into places for my trip next year (can you tell I like to plan ahead?) found some really good deals and these are the following places I'm thinking of; South Korea(#1), Japan, Greece, India, Sri Lanka, & Australia. Might even do a two in one trip since some of these places are near each other. If anyones been to any of these places let me know what you thought or if you want to be my travel buddy speak now or forever hold your peace! ^_^  

I went to clean my glass as soon as I touched it the glass snapped in my hands....fail!! Still used it though and will continue too :) p.s please ignore the bread thats a whole other issue. ^_^

Say hello to my mothers jungle back there and my pot of rice hanging out on our house printer ^_^

I guarantee the tv was off when I shooting...Ghost Whisperer.....

Still For A Moment

Still for a moment.
Generally I never shoot still life i.e fruits & Vegetables never seems right when I do it rather blah maybe thats because I never have any direction to go with it or something meh. Did a random shoot today had one idea in mind but my limitations in my knife skills stopped me from completing task one and changing it up completely fruit salad to follow. Second shoot was of Red Chili Peppers and Pepper Flakes shot on some wood planks I destroyed the other night to get a distressed feel, can't wait to shoot like a rustic food shot but that will have to wait for a while think im going to stop styling and shoot for a bit after I finish of what I have in my fridge and concentrate on editing previous sessions and work on my book and hopefully somewhere in all that get a job ...^.^

Started as a pear, apple, & fennel salad tower but I failed @ slicing thin enough pieces 

so I'll try again in the future,  but in the meanwhile heres a apple, pear, banana, orange, walnut and olive oil salad....can you tell I just raided the kitchen? lol

While editing these decided to use clamps to stop my hair from blowing because of the fan....I enjoy thinking outside of the box =P

(Theres no emoto for the face im making right now which is sad T_T)
