Sick, exams, and tons of images.

The Toronto weather has caught up to me and pretty quickly this year. I find my self stealing my younger brothers sweaters just to keep warm; my nose burns so much I want summer back :( Coming to the end of semester 3 here at Humber almost time for Christmas 16days! which means I can sleep and no more assignments! I'll finally have time to kick back sleep till 4pm and work on personal projects. Speaking of Humber and assignments here's one of the lastests ones recently edited for my commercial photography class of an electronic.

Tiff Bell Lightbox Restaurant "Luma" pt1

Just a small montage of some image's captured yesterday morning of a shoot at Luma restaurant. This place is gorgeous and has the nicest staff I've ever meet. I'm glad I had the opportunity to shoot here and can't wait to go there one night for dinner :) Photo's are still under construction taking longer than expected, needing to deal with some unexpected C.A.

P.s Broke a lens sorta :(

Trip to China confirmed!!

It's offical I'll be going to China for 18 days from May the 4th -27th I think with 22 other up and coming photographers from Humber College with the fantastic Neil Fox as our leader. This will sorta be along the lines of my last trip with Humber but better and a heck of a lot more crazy. How? Well first off this isn't going to be your typical trip, this a Mr.Fox adventure trip! 18days of non stop adrenaline with white water rafting, kayaking, rock climbing and oh did I mention mention sleeping on the Great Wall of China? Not only that our gallery showing will be a lot bigger than the France one and will also be taking part in the 2012 Contact photography festival here in Toronto! Needless to say I'm without a doubt head over heels excited hence the rise in cliches; oh how I wish it was May already. I feel that my body of work this time round will be a lot stronger since I've grown more since my last trip and over the year as well and I'll also benifit by staying in the country longer and getting more immeresd in the culture to truly capture China. Soooo to wrap it up I'm going to China! Guess I should have taken Mandarin in high school instead of Japanese huh?

P.s Out of the 22 photographers going 18 of which are female.....Neil Fox you have no idea the trouble you just got your self in XD

Long Beautiful Beeeeeer!(hair)

So the title really has nothing to do with this shoot except that I replaced hair with beer....honestly its just been one of those days where nothing goes right and you want to jump of a cliff and just sleep for eternity.....but I'm not going to do that I'll try my shoot again tomorrow when I haven't been running on 4hrs of sleep a granola bar and didn't just spend the past 4 hrs setting up a pow wow at school.....yup hyst one of those days.

So this was from a shoot I did last Wednesday in studio. This is edit #1. This isn't the original idea I had planned shit happens and restrictions are applied :( but I'm still pleased with the outcome so far.

Let's be a copy cat shall we?

Okay so this is an assignment we recived in my program at Humber College to recreate an AD of our choosing back in first year semester 1. I just remembered it since that's the current project the first years are working on now. But why the heck did I have to choose one of the toughest ad's out there? I'm clearly not a food stylist nor do I know one as of yet. So that was a lot of wasted tomatoes and multiple studio time and just ended up with me shooting it at home with available light lol. P.s the logo wasn't the same since it was their 100th anniversary that should have been a sign right there.....

First one is the original from the agency McCann Erickson, London. And the bottom one the right is mine :)
(even more off then I remembered =P)

The time is 9:07PM

Drink up

A commercial shoot I did last year. First time using a Hassablad that was a barrel of fun, my Macbook loved Phocus.......let's just say I'm glad I upgraded my computer this year since all my commercial work is done with a Hassie.

An everyday perspective

"We see each other everyday yet er never truly see. Why is it once we take a closer look of what we are composed of we feel disgusted? This i s me, this is you, this is us.Skin."

This is part one of a series of photos I took recently to depict that no matter after all we are all the same and nothing such as; color, race, or religion will change that.

And It Tasted Like Bitter Almonds.
Recently I attended a fashion show at Thush Gallery in Toronto called *see title* which was created by a friend of mine from middle school who designed all the shoe's and her friend who designed all the outfits of the night. It was a pretty awesome night procedes went towards the Rape Crisis Center here in T.O. The reason why one of the model is more "spotlighted" then the rest is because she's my friend and because she always models for me she was found through my portfolio for this event and did an amazing job :) In a later post I'll update about the artists that made this event happen and who knows maybe I'll be able to photograph their designs XP

p.s I love the first picture that's why it's huge great capture of the night.
